The WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION REGIONAL OFFICE FOR EUROPE:
A WHO Regional Technical Consultation on Zika virus will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 22–24 June 2016, bringing together the 22 countries of the WHO European Region in which the likelihood of Zika virus spread is high or moderate.Based on the Zika virus response in the Americas and the likelihood of Zika virus outbreaks in countries of the European Region, 80 participants with expertise in epidemiology, entomology, laboratory diagnosis and emergency risk communication, as well as WHO experts and partners will aim at reaching consensus on best practices to prevent or early contain any Zika virus outbreak in Europe.
